Pakistan Journal of Kidney Disease (PJKD)
The Pakistan Journal of Kidney Disease (PJKD) welcomes high-quality manuscripts related to nephrology, renal medicine, and associated disciplines. Authors are advised to follow these guidelines carefully to ensure smooth processing of their submissions.
1. Types of Manuscripts
PJKD accepts the following categories:
- Original Articles

- Short Communications

- Letters to the Editor
2. Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS). Authors are required to:
- Register and log in to the journal website
- Complete all submission steps
- Upload all required documents
3. Manuscript Preparation
Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
Format
- File format: Microsoft Word (DOC/DOCX)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12
- Line spacing: Double-spaced
- Page numbering required
4. Structure of Manuscript
a. Title Page
- Title of the article
- Full names of all authors
- Institutional affiliations
- Corresponding author details (email, phone)
b. Abstract
- Maximum 250 words
- Structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
- 3–5 keywords
c. Main Text (Original Articles)
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion
5. References
- Referencing style: Vancouver
- References should be numbered consecutively
- Use recent and relevant citations
6. Tables and Figures
- Must be clearly labeled
- Submitted in editable format
- High-resolution images required
7. Ethical Requirements
Authors must ensure:
- Approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee
- Informed consent from participants (if applicable)
- Compliance with ethical standards
8. Plagiarism Policy

9. Authorship Criteria
