Submission and Processing Fees
Lack of funding for research has generated low quality research and been a hurdle to creative thinking and application into research procees. New ideas are not being generated as frequently and aplied into research. getting funding from the research funding agencies is always a huge issue. In the meeting with the Pakistan Society of Nephrology (PSN) it was decided to initiate a processing fee and publication charges. This will cover the rising costs for publication and running of the journal. About one third of the collections after expenses will be provided to PSN for distribution for research funding, as PJKD Research Fund.
Following will be the non-refundable processing fees and Publication charges:
Original Articles: Non-refundable processing fee of Pak Rs 3000/- (US$ 15) will be required at the time of submission. At the time of final approval of manuscript the publication charges Pak Rs 20,000/- (US $ 75) will be required for final publishing the article.
Case reports:No processing fee will be required at the time of submission. At the time of final approval of manuscript the publication charges Pak Rs 5,000/- (US $ 25) will be required for final publishing of the article.
Picture in Nephrology and Review Artciles: No processing charges and publication charges.
For Trainees and Residents (need evidence) where they are the first author: No processing fee is required and will be charged 50% of the Publication fee (Pak Rs 10,000/- (US $ 40) at the time of final publication.
